COMMODE is a publicly funded gallery dedicated to supporting experimental and critical contemporary art.

Alongside the gallery programme, independent curator DJCS works directly with a select group of artists, representing and advocating for their work. Sales of these works are managed independently of COMMODE’s public funding. A percentage of sales contributes to DJCS’s curatorial labour, while a portion is reinvested into COMMODE’s operational costs.

This model creates a diversified income stream that supports the long-term sustainability of the gallery, allowing public funding to be prioritised toward exhibitions, artist commissions, and research programmes.
